Gala Celebrates Community

Sunday night was the ninth annual Short North Gala, an event that benefits the public art, beautification efforts, and promotional initiatives of the Short North Alliance. World-class food was prepared our great local chefs, whose savory dishes were inspired by local art. Among the recipients of the “Unsung Hero” awards for exemplary service to the community were Dr. Daniel Koch of Columbus Eyeworks, Julie Hallan of Friends of Goodale Park, and our own Sylvia and Larry Totzke.

We were even treated to an appearance from the cast of A Chorus Line from the Short North Stage. Check out the photos:

City’s Largest Yard Sale Includes Victorian Village, Harrison West, Italian Village,
Dennison Place, And The Circles 

The Short North Civic Association will host this year’s Short North Yard Sale on Saturday, June 6th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The daylong treasure hunt takes place in the neighborhoods in and around the Short North, including Victorian Village, Harrison West, Italian Village, Dennison Place, and The Circles.  More than 150 homes participated in last year’s sale, making it the largest neighborhood yard sale in Columbus.
